Absolutely! How our system works, when someone lists equipment in a new city (or state), that city (or state) is automatically added to the list of available locations.
If you are looking to rent equipment and you don’t see your city, unfortunately that means there are currently no available listings in your city. By registering for an Expeerent account, you will be signed up to receive email updates as more listings become available.
If you are listing multiple items for others to rent, each item needs to have its own listing.
For example: if you are going to list 2 kayaks in your area, click the “Add Listing” button and fill out the form for your first kayak. After you submit the first listing, you will click “Add Listing” again and fill out the form for your second kayak. This form must be filled out for each item you are wanting to list.
You will need to list each item separately to ensure that all your items are available for rent. When someone books your equipment for a specific day, that listing will no longer be visible to renters for that same day. If you have two kayaks, and someone books one kayak, your listing will not show that you still have another kayak available.
By creating multiple listings, if you have two kayaks listed and someone books only one of your kayaks, your second kayak will still be visible and available for rent.
When you request a booking, the request will go to the host. Once the host accepts your request, you will enter your card information, and then be charged for the full amount of the booking.
If the host declines the booking request, you will not be charged. If the host cancels the booking after you have been charged, you will be refunded the full amount. If you cancel the booking before 48 hours of the trip, you will be refunded the full amount, less the service fee.
It is ultimately up to you to decide how much money you earn using Expeerent. You have the option to set your availability and prices for your listed equipment. The price that you set for your listing is the price that you will earn when a renter books your equipment.
If someone sends a booking request for your equipment, you will receive a message on your dashboard, as well as an email. Once you are notified of the booking request, you will have the option to accept or decline the booking.
If you accept the booking request, you will be responsible for the delivering the booked equipment at the location and time in the booking request, unless canceled before 48 hours of the scheduled drop off time.
