Create an Expeerent Account Here. You will receive a verification email with a link. Once you verify your account information, you are ready to begin listing your equipment!
Set your own price and choose which hours/days you would like to offer your equipment to be rented. When someone books your equipment, you will receive an email notifying you that someone would like to rent from you. You will need to approve or deny booking requests from your Dashboard. Please note that 3.5% credit card processing fee will be deducted from your bi montly payout.
Once you approve the request, the renter will submit their payment to finalize the booking. Expeerent will add on their non refundable $5.99 reservation fee at checkout. After payment has been submitted from the renter, you will see the rental appear under “Upcoming Bookings” on your dashboard.
You, as the host, are responsible for delivering the equipment to the location on the date and time agreed upon.
At the end of the rental period, you will come to the agreed upon location to retrieve your equipment from the renter.
Payments: Host payments will be disbursed on the 15th and last day of each month. You may request additional payments between dates for an added fee. Please note that 3.5% credit card processing fee will be deducted at payout.
Payment Options: Paypal Payout or Mailed check ($1 fee applies to all mailed checks).
Fees for the Renter
When the renter books equipment, they will be charged a non-refundable $5.99 reservation fee in addition to the price of the rental selected by the host.
Fees for the Host
All hosts will be charged a 3.5% credit card transaction processing fee for each rental. If the host selects a payout method of check vs PayPal, the host will be charged a $1.00 check fee in addition to the 3.5% credit card transaction processing fee.
All fees will be deducted at payout.
How Pricing Works
When listing, the host will have the ability to select the price of their equipment. They will have the ability to select a price for increments of 4 hours, 8 hours, and full day (24 hour) time frames. When the renter books the equipment, the renter will pay a non-refundable $5.99 reservation fee in addition to the rental price quoted by the host. The host will then receive the full amount of that booking, less the $5.99 reservation fee and 3.5% rental credit card processing fee at the next payout.
If you cancel your booking reservation, the renter will be refunded in full and a $10.00 cancellation fee will be deducted from you next payout.
Life is full of accidents and mishaps and we know this. Although we certainly hope no damage comes to your equipment, we’ve put together a plan in case any misfortunes do occur.
If there is damage to your equipment during a rental period, we will work diligently and personally to ensure the host is compensated for the damages.
How Expeerent Determines Cost of Damage
At Expeerent, we take damage to equipment very seriously. If damage does occur, we will do our best to ensure a quick and fair resolution. The factors we take into consideration when determining the cost of damages are:
As a host, you will be required to report any damage to your equipment within 24-hours of the rental period. Any photos of damage to equipment must also be date/time stamped within the 24-hour period. Any photos not date/time stamped immediately following the rental period, cannot be used as proof of damage. Failure to report damage within 24-hours of the rental period waives any claim for damage. To learn how to report damages to your equipment, see the Reporting Equipment Damage section of this page.
Reporting Equipment Damage
If your equipment has been damaged during the rental period, you must notify us within 24-hours of the rental period through our Contact Us page. From the drop-down selection on this page, there is an option for Damages. Provide a brief description of the damages including date of rental period, type of equipment, and description of damage. After submitting your claim, an Expeerent representative will reach out to you personally to discuss the next steps in the process.
Note: if your claim is not submitted within 24-hours of the rental period, the claim will not be considered for reimbursement for any damages.
